A Great Sinner Meets a Great Savior

The “Town Sinner” had no one in polite society to befriend her. She made her living being used by others as means to an end. Yet in Christ, she found a friend that sticks closer then a Brother. In Christ she found a treasure worth far more than the costly ointment she carried in the alabaster box! A great sinner met the Great Savior-and her life would never be the same.

When Sickness Assails, Worship the Lord

When sickness assails our mortal bodies, it could be a sickness unto death. Yet God is faithful to give His people the abiding truth of the matter: God is in control. Worship the Lord in the midst of your storm! Worship the Lord in the swirling tempest of life’s darkest hours. In all things, give thanks!

How Shall We Escape?

Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.  (2)  For since the message declared by angels proved to be reliable, and every transgression or disobedience received a just retribution,  (3)  how shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? Christ: A Sure Foundation

Today, do you trust in the things of the world? Or has the Spirit of God opened your eyes to the truth of Scripture? Has He caused you to believe that Christ alone is the sure and steadfast foundation of the soul?

Are You (Made) Willing?

Dead religion will not save you! Do you think that mere ritualistic actions are sufficient to propitiate the wrath of God concerning you? Isaiah wrote to the children of Israel first to judge their lives by God’s righteous standard. The question is this: are you willing? If so, it is the Lord of Hosts who has visited with you in the working of the Holy Spirit, regenerating you unto life so that you, by His power, can rest in the perfection of another, Jesus Christ, apart from the dead rituals and sin-cursed works of sinful hands. Truly, this is the work of God, ‘to believe on the One whom He has sent!’ Only he can MAKE us willing!
